If someone joins at the last minute, ask in the same message whether an extra bed is possible. Having the apartments close together matters more than how many there are. But what if the group grows? Beyond 16 guests you will need somewhere else for the rest, and finding five free apartments in one building becomes impossible as the date approaches.
Why does the same building matter?
Wedding guests may leave the venue at midnight, gather early in the morning and meet up several more times during the day. If the apartments are spread across different neighbourhoods, every get-together turns into separate car journeys. Five apartments in one building solve that. Say so clearly when you book, because hosts answer according to how their apartments are distributed.
When should you book?
So what does the booking plan look like? It is actually simple, because the wedding date is known months in advance, so the accommodation can be planned early too. The summer months and the weeks after religious holidays are the peak of the wedding season in Gaziantep. In those weeks apartments near the centre fill up quickly. Once you know where the venue is, choosing an area close to it saves hunting for a taxi late at night. Most out-of-town guests do not know the roads, so having the apartments within walking or short driving distance of the venue directly shapes how the celebration flows.
How is the cost shared?
All five apartments, with five guests in each 1-bedroom apartment, come to 14,000 TL a night: 4,000 TL for each 1-bedroom apartment and 2,000 TL for each studio. For a group of fifteen that is under 1,000 TL per person, about 933 TL; a group of ten pays 8,000 TL a night for the two 1-bedroom apartments, or 800 TL each. Work out hotel rooms for the same group and the total usually comes out higher. And thanks to the kitchen, breakfast is made at home, which saves half an hour on the wedding day. Handling payment through one person avoids confusion, so it is more practical for one person to book on behalf of the group.
The bride's house and preparation day
Getting ready really does need space. For the henna night and the wedding morning, a 1-bedroom apartment with a separate bedroom and a living room with a corner sofa works far better than a hotel room. The hairdresser, the photographer and the family can all be in the living room at once while the bride gets ready in the bedroom. Check-in is at 14.00 and check-out at 12.00, so if the celebration runs late, ask about late check-out when you book. All such rentals require a permit under Law No. 7464.
