Room type and floor area

Moving from the studio to the family apartment adds 1,200 lira per night, while the living space grows from 35 to 95 square metres — almost three times as much. In the studio you pay about 43 lira per square metre; in the family apartment it drops to 29. That is why even couples often choose the 1-bedroom: the 500-lira difference buys a separate living room and a larger kitchen. These are list prices and may vary by date.
Group size changes everything
Why does the same apartment cost two different groups two different amounts? Hotels price per person; daily rental apartments price per unit. When a family of five books the 2-bedroom apartment for 2,750 TL, it works out at 550 lira per person. Booking two or three hotel rooms for the same family would lead to a very different total.
The larger the group, the cheaper the apartment becomes; for solo travellers the gap narrows and can even reverse. Comparing the two options without calculating the per-person cost is misleading. Over three nights the difference widens further — and for larger groups the real saving is not in the nightly rate but in breakfast made in a home with a kitchen.
The role of dates and season
Gaziantep's busy weeks don't follow a classic holiday calendar; they follow the city's own rhythm. According to figures from the Gaziantep Governorship, the Zeugma Mosaic Museum welcomed 237,916 visitors in the first five months of 2026. Religious holidays and trade-fair weeks push demand up at the same time. In these periods, booking early saves availability more than money, because apartments close to the centre go first.
Don't ignore the weekday–weekend gap either. Friday and Saturday nights cost more in almost every type of accommodation in the city, so a trip that can shift to Tuesday or Wednesday is noticeably cheaper.

We really did see a 599-lira listing in Şehitkamil, but that price usually describes a single-occupancy apartment, one far from the centre or one with limited dates. Ten minutes from the centre means two taxis a day; the 300 lira saved on a two-night trip goes back into transport. Factor location into any price comparison.
For a three-night family trip, the 2-bedroom apartment costs 8,250 lira. How many people you divide that by makes the same price look cheap or expensive.
